Odoo Test Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Odoo Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our Odoo-based ERP implementations and custom modules. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to define test cases, execute testing processes, and validate business logic across modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test plans and test cases for Odoo modules.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing on Odoo (both standard and custom modules).
• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools like GitLab, Jira, or Odoo's internal bug tracker.
• Validate module behavior across different workflows (Sales, HR, Inventory, Accounting, etc.).
• Collaborate with development and functional teams to ensure accurate and complete test coverage.
• Perform API testing and automated testing (using Selenium or PyTest where applicable).
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies for ongoing projects.
• Ensure that all releases meet quality standards before deployment to production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software testing, with hands-on experience in testing Odoo (v13–v17) modules.
• Good understanding of ERP workflows and business processes.
• Familiarity with Python and XML is a plus.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, basic SQL queries, and debugging logs.

Preferred Skills:

• Odoo functional certification or prior experience in Odoo implementation projects.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Linux command line and Odoo logs for debugging.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
